Macy’s is not my last word in fashion, but they are the first place that I check. They have so many top notch brands. Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, DKNY, Hilfiger, etc. I have even found things worth buying in Mark Ecko and American Rag and neither of those brands are my taste and some stores carry Ben Sherman or other odd brands. Their store brands are OK. I have picked up solid pieces from both INC and Club Room and while I have never seen anything good from Bar III, I miss their Material London line.
Their sales can be crazy if you are willing to head to the store and check them out. It seems like you never know what you are going to get and sales can be different from store to store. Plus, Macy’s is a great place for Levis and an excellent place for accessories, underwear and socks.
Throw in the fact that I have never found a Xmas gift for the girlfriend at J Crew Factory, and Macy’s gets my vote, easy.
